Step 1: Sunshine State Standards

Step 2: Assessment
Now that we know what is expected, we need to find out what your student already knows. We use different assessments in different grades to measure a child's strengths and weaknesses.
Step 3: Instruction
Lakeview teachers use assessment results to form an instructional plan for your child... this is called "differentiated instruction" (or planning instruction to meet each child's individual needs). As teachers, we know that each child learns in slightly different ways and comes to school with slightly differing circumstances. As parents, it is important to know that although we may teach students differently, we care about them all equally.
